A Cake for Noach!

In honor of our Parashat Noach unit, Gan Reut baked a Teivah cake complete with pairs of animals.  So much fun to bake, even better to eat! 

The Story of Noach!

We used a flannel board to assist with the telling of the story of Noach and the flood. The children are now very familiar with the story and ready for numerous related art experiences, science experiments and related circle times.

On Yom Shishi...

On Yom Shishi, "Hashem created big animals and small, Adam and Chava most important of all..."  Gan Reut collaged with animal print paper and then proceeded to glue people cutouts onto their papers.  

This completes our 6 days of creation!

On Yom Chamishi

On Yom Chamishi, "Hashem created the fish in the seas and way up high the birds in the trees..."  Gan Reut was very busy gluing feathers, and sticking fish onto their own papers as they made their own version of the 5th day of creation.

On Yom Reviei

On Yom Reviei, "Hashem created the sun so bright, the moon and stars were just for night..."

On Yom Shlishi...

On Yom Shlishi, Hashem created the trees, grass and flowers. Gan Reut made a beautiful collage representing nature's beauty.

Gan Reut Become Scientists

In conjunction with our unit on Bereisheet and the creation of dark and light, we experimented with flashlights.  The children chose items from our classroom and predicted whether light would or would not shine through.  There were times even the Morot were surprised with the results!

On Yom Sheni...

On Yom Sheni,  Hashem created the Mayim and Shamayim, the waters and the sky. Gan Reut reproduced the likeness of the waters and sky using tissue paper and water.

In The Beginning...

In the beginning there was NOTHING! "On Yom Rishon there was dark and light, Hashem created the day and night!"  Gan Reut simulated the creation of dark and light using black magic art.

A Special BPY Visit!

Gan Reut was so excited when Doni's Abba drove up to school in a Hatzalah ambulance.  The children had the opportunity to climb into the back of the ambulance, explore, and examine the different equipment.  What a treat!

Sukkot Fun!

Our Sukkah Preparations in Full Swing!

Gan Reut has been absorbed in learning all about this special and festive Chag! They have also been busy making spectacular Sukkah decoration for their Sukkot, and flags to dance with on Simchat Torah.
